The only thing I liked about last night was the wild, unpredictable, constant attack while on the penalty kill; hope to see more of that in coming months. |

"does this team have the talent to win against playoff-caliber competition?" The answer is no. I think the expectation was to make the playoffs, earn 2 games revenue. Anything more than that is unrealistic. |

Yeah, if we're gonna be mediocre I'd rather watch this type of hockey than last year's snooze fest.

Once again they're the only line that can consistently produce offense. I'm sure they're jealous of other 1st lines in the league who can have an "OK" night and still have a chance to win against decent teams because their teams have good secondary scoring. |

Carol Schram: Vancouver Canucks Game Review: Reality Bites
The Vancouver Canucks' Central Division road trip got off to a rough start. It took just over a period for the Dallas Stars to seal their victory on Tuesday at the American Airlines Center. - Carol Schram
The answer to the big question, is no. |

They do look a lot better but I don't think it will be enough. They may rank about 15 th in the league in productivity for first lines . Follow that up by bottom 10 production by the rest of the team. |

I know you will disagree with me, but Daniel really needs to get a scoring streak. He can't just be the 2nd setup guy. I thought he had some excellent opportunities last night and looks better than he did last year but he absolutely needs to be a threat. |

I'm glad there's at least some mention about the effect of losing Kesler that isn't immediately spun as a positive because of what a douchebag he is. He played some of the hardest minutes of any player in the league, and if the past two games are any indication they're going to have to figure out how to account for those tough minutes more effectively. The Sedin line was a combined -6 against the Lightning, the Bonino line was a combined -9 against Dallas, and the Bieksa/Hamhuis pairing is a combined -12 over both games.
Still, they outplayed Tampa Bay for large stretches of the game, and unquestionably had some bad luck last night. The coming games against St. Louis, Colorado, and Washington should help determine whether these issues are more of a serious pattern, or just a matter of getting used to going up against playoff-quality opponents, and not having a week off between games.

Or a new coaching system, 3 different systems in the last 19 months.
Edit: That's almost Oiler like |
